To Love or to Loath?

Comic Sans is the butt of many design jokes (probably) and is hated by all with knowledge of good design and typography.

Yet, Russian designer Oleg Tarasov has broken the rules, recreating a selection of famous brands using the dreaded Comic Sans.. To love or to loath is the question?

His full range of "rebranding" awaits you..

Post : Super Cool Examples of Branding

My love for branding is shown with these two gorgeous examples from the related post, beautifully creative with the triangular business cards to the breath taking vintage design, I would love to create a brand that would fit into both of these categories to produce something that is completely fresh and original.

Yoni Alter

Yoni Alter was someone I fell across while looking through my emails, he was featured in an email from BlogSpoonGraphics inspirational newsletters.

I think this work is clean, refreshing and fun! It also falls in to his particular style.

Inspiration from all corners (of the Kitchen)

After looking for a recipe out of an old cookery book I had in my early teens, I went to investigate what happened to the young chef to find out he's still doing his thing, with a beautifully designed website and new book.

I love the style and layout of the book, making it feel more interactive and fun to those who might fine other cook books a little heavy going. I try and learn as much as possible from these types of examples to aid my own layout and spread work.

Simplicity...

... is the ultimate form of sophistication.

A creation by Mehmet Gozetlik on Behance.

Some brands work far better than others, but it's amazing how a message can still get across,
even with something so basic and clean.
