Inspiration from all corners (of the Kitchen)

After looking for a recipe out of an old cookery book I had in my early teens, I went to investigate what happened to the young chef to find out he's still doing his thing, with a beautifully designed website and new book.

I love the style and layout of the book, making it feel more interactive and fun to those who might fine other cook books a little heavy going. I try and learn as much as possible from these types of examples to aid my own layout and spread work.

Simplicity...

... is the ultimate form of sophistication.

A creation by Mehmet Gozetlik on Behance.

Some brands work far better than others, but it's amazing how a message can still get across,
even with something so basic and clean.

Awesome Merchandise.com

I found them last year when we first looked at self promotion, actually bought a sample pack for £2, look what I got!

Yay I'm awesome!

8 different type of stickers, a window clinger sticker, 3 types of business cards, 3 types of leaflets, 2 types of magnets, 5 types of badges, a compact mirror, a bottle opener, a lighter, a guitar pick, a zipper pull/key chain and a A3 poster!

Craft Beer

Alternate beer labels sourced from Behance.net, the first four are by a Swedish typographer Martin Schmetzer, I'm in love with his typographic style.

I really like the simplicity to these two beer labels, they feel fresh and modern and don't feel 'cluncky'

This Rock Ice beer is a very different take on the Craft Beer, being light hearted and fun.

Typographic Minions

Experimenting with how to create imagery with typography alone. My second attempt as my first was over complicated, it could be better but a final idea, it's not bad.

Dementia Friends

Knocked these out within 30-45 Minutes for the Dementia Friends group... mainly created using Wacom Bamboo drawing tablet.

Then quickly finalised the idea with copy... not bad I guess.
